Is there a polygon in 3-space with 5 equal sides and all angles 90°? 

This is a fun, hands-on activity that gives the students the experience of working with coordinates in 3-space. Perfect for grade 10. For this session, I bring a large supply of plastic straws (cut to equal lengths) and pipe cleaners for the 90° bends. Many students are pretty sure that they’ve built one. Certainly you can get really close. But… Well I’ll let you take it from there. 

But I will suggest that you challenge them to see if they can do it in 4 dimensions.
