Triangle-Line I

Construct:

·       an initial triangle             

·       a final triangle                   

as shown in the diagram. Plot and label the vertices and then use the polygon function to make the triangles.

Construct a red triangle, , whose vertices move in a straight line at constant speed between the corresponding vertices of the initial and the final triangles. For example, A follows a straight line from  A0 to A1. We choose units so that it takes T = 1 second to make the journey.The diagram at the right depicts the red triangle at T = ½: the vertices have all moved halfway towards their destination.

 You will see from the animation that the red triangle “flips over” during its journey. That tells us that at a certain moment, the red triangle becomes a straight-line segment. Calculate the exact time at which this happens.
